Do you want more reasons to see your customers on a regular basis?  What better way to connect with customers, neighbors or geographical farm home owners than organizing and hosting events they can enjoy!

Here are just a few ideas to get you started!

  • Movie Theater Rental for a popular movie – If they allow you to provide a gift, a cool one would be:
    • Kernel Season’s Popcorn Seasoning – One per family with a card that reads, “We’re the only seasoned professionals you need for your real estate transaction.”
  • Picnic in the park with a bouncy house or water balloons
    • You could provide the protein, plates, napkins, plastic ware and drinks and ask your customers to all bring a side dish of some kind or keep it simple and buy chips and potato salad.
  • Electronic Recycling Day (computers, etc.)  You can do your own search, or try EcoCycle.
    • You could host this in your office and provide bottled water and packaged snacks to your participants.
  • Back to School Supply Drive
    • Could be done in conjunction with Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters or other charitable organization and you could involve other local business owners
  • Fall Clean Up Day
    • Find a location in the neighborhood and provide a roll off for lawn trimmings and leaves
    • Be sure you are there with a table near the roll off to meet the neighbors.  You could draw them to you by providing donuts and bottled water or packaged snacks.
  • Wine Tasting Party with Wines for Humanity
    • Raise money for a local charity of your choice with wine sales
  • Letters to Santa
    • Provide a “Santa” and allow parents to take photos
    • Provide stationary or paper, envelopes, markers and stickers for kids to create, decorate and mail their letters to Santa. You can create a cute “Santa Mailbox”
  • Organize a donation drop off
    • Find a location in the neighborhood and arrange to have Disabled American Veterans pick up household and clothing donations
    • Be sure you are there to interact with your neighbors.  You could draw them to you by providing snacks and handing out the donation slips.
  • Spring Clean Up Day
    • Find a location in the neighborhood and provide a roll off for big house trash
    • Be sure you are there with a table near the roll off to meet the neighbors.  You could draw them to you by providing donuts and bottled water or packaged snacks
  • Mother’s Day Gift Workshop for Dad’s
    • Buy the supplies and put together craft tables so dads can bring their kids in to create mom a special surprise gift
  • Photo Shoot
    • Find a good venue our outdoor spot to take beautiful family photos.  Work with a photographer to find out what would make it a win/win for you both.  If the photographer has the opportunity to make some additional money by up-selling touch-up service, prints, all digital photos, or by getting contact info for future marketing purposes, etc. it could lower the session cost you pay.  Invite people to come have a certain number of poses taken on you and include a print or digital photo(s) for free. • Outdoor Movie & Picnic
    • Hire an outdoor movie rental company to set up and show a current family movie in a park or neighborhood space.  Provide a simple meal or organize a potluck!

RECOMMENDATION: Be sure to get photos at all your events and post them to Facebook.  Don’t forget to tag them!
